Of all the lily versions available my favorite is the daylily. From a floral design perspective a daylily is unusable. The bloom only last a day, hence the name, so your arrangement will look terrific today and undone tomorrow.

That is specifically why I cherish this trumpet shaped flower so much. It draws me to the garden daily to see which buds opened. If I miss a day in the garden I miss a day of blooms.

It's lure creates a curiosity in me to check on the status of these perennials. As each bud opens it's a reunion with an old friend.

The daylily brings out my inner child who is filled with joy and curiosity. I made a movie a few years back of all the daylilies in bloom . Enjoy!🌱
