Peach season in Connecticut is typically from mid-July to late September. So you could also pick blueberries and pears in July or apples in September.

The 2024 peach season has been amazing this year due to cooperative weather. Peach trees are known to be difficult and are very sensitive to late frosts and warmer winters. We had plenty of chilly winter weather but it was replaced with a mild spring without a frost. CT had a late 2023 frost and destroyed many of the beautiful hydrangea buds forming as well as the start of  fruit on peach trees. CT had a very low crop of peaches.

So THIS September it's time to enjoy and savor this delicious fruit. Peach pie, cobbler and  sangria are just a few ways to celebrate!
